Steve and I had a good windsurf session from the Golf Course Car Park today. I had to work in the morning, and when i got to the beach around Midday Steve had just got on the water with his Fanatic Bee 274 and 7.0m sail. It didn't look as though there was enough wind for that on the beach and as Steve was coming back in and carrying his kit up the beach when I arrived I assumed he was under-powered. However, he said there was loads of wind on the sea and he changed down to a 6.2m sail and his smaller board. I didn't quite believe him but rigged my 5.7m and my Hifly 265 anyway. Sure enough, once I was on the water there was plenty of wind and in fact I was too overpowered, so had to come in and flatten off the sail. We then had a good sail in the cross-shore (Southerly) winds and fairly calm water.
